About the Artist

Georgios Kalatzis was born in Athens, Greece in 1992 and grew up in the seaside town of Nafpaktos. Since childhood he was inclined towards painting and studied under his father, the painter Nikos Kalatzis. His works have been displayed in group exhibitions in Nafpaktos, Paros and individually in Patras. Lately (2020), he is collaborating with Druck + Galerie in Munich, Germany. Since 2020, his works can be found in Kapopoulos FineArts Galleries, one of the most prestigious art dealerships in Greece and Cyprus.

He has collaborated on the curation of several painting exhibitions of many established Greek artists such as, Giorgos Stathopoulos, Alekos Fassianos, Giorgos Rorris, Christodoulos Galtemis, Pavlos Samios, Stefanos Daskalakis, Michalis Madenis, Alkis Pierrakos, Franco Murer and others.

His works have been influenced by older and modern POP ART artists such as Alexis Akrithakis, Roy Fox Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, Niki De Saint Phalle and Robert Combas.
